In the 35th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baki Hacıoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Villa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Edmundo Espiga made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. ArtvinHodspor's Baki Hacıoğlu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Honduras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The throw-in from Baransel Recep in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. Ant Kerimhan's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ant Kerimhan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st match minute, ArtvinHodspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ant Kerimhan to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luca Espinar got free with Baki Hacıoğlu in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Moises Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Honduras were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
