The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Sarangapani got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Alex Sarangapani tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roque Aguilar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 21 in the game by Roque Aguilar from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. Matias Dimo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matias Dimo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Sporting Westmeerbeek's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pieter Degraef, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roque Aguilar to make the kick off. After 55 minutes, Roque Aguilar made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sporting Westmeerbeek's Chris-George Van Gorp was substituted for Bart-Jan De Vaddere. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Matias Dimo made a huge save. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roque Aguilar in the 63rd minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Sarangapani in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Sporting Westmeerbeek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano De Toro didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 68th minute of play forced Sporting Westmeerbeek's goalkeeper Matias Dimo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roque Aguilar, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. When Rigoberto Mina fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Rigoberto Mina a yellow card for diving instead. Sporting Westmeerbeek's Çelebi Tublek was substituted for Pieter Degraef. The supporters of Sporting Westmeerbeek booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Luck Hodson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move. Roque Aguilar took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Aguilar in the 85th minute of play. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Roque Aguilar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Sporting Westmeerbeek's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
