Sari Kanarya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 11th minute of the match. Zico Galinec's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sari Kanarya stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. EdirneSpor's Zico Galinec got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 35th minute of the match EdirneSpor got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ali Asım Akar ran over to the corner to take the kick. When EdirneSpor's kaya Bal in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The crowd rose to their feet as Zico Galinec kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-1 in the 44 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

53 minutes into the game, Yaman Tamer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EdirneSpor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Yaman Tamer kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 58th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sari Kanarya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Venezuela booed when EdirneSpor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Muhsin Dikmen didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Camilo Gaos fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Camilo Gaos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. After 64 minutes of play, EdirneSpor's Zico Galinec made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 70th minute, Czeslaw Borcz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 72nd minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Sari Kanarya in EdirneSpor's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. 81 minutes into the match, Zico Galinec notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 5-1 became the score in the 84th minute when Zico Galinec elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gencer Fazilet in the 88th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that kaya Bal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. EdirneSpor had won after a very even match.
