With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pascual Carballar in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dezider Šindelka saved FC Barcelona from getting behind. Dezider Šindelka dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ignacio Mastache managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignacio Mastache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dezider Šindelka breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 97th minute Abram Secada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dezider Šindelka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
