It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Robertas Lewandowski kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes STAL ST WOLA got a freekick which was hit by Michel Batistuta. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Michel Batistuta put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Tanek Wojtyna. In the 7th match minute, U21 Poland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robertas Lewandowski to maneuver through the defense. Roman Matai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robertas Lewandowski in the 16th minute of play. Zygmunt Bielejewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanek Wojtyna having to interfere. U21 Poland's Tanek Wojtyna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zygmunt Bielejewski in the 31st minute of play. After 35 minutes of play, U21 Poland's Witold Bycofski made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roman Matai was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 39 played minutes STAL ST WOLA got a freekick which was hit by Boleslaw Nakoneczny. STAL ST WOLA's Roman Matai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witold Bycofski in the 40th minute of play. Witold Bycofski hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Tanek Wojtyna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zygmunt Bielejewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The STAL ST WOLA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. U21 Poland were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michel Batistuta made a kick off. Tanek Wojtyna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boleslaw Nakoneczny in the 54th minute of play. In the 55thth minute of the game Michel Batistuta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Poland's Tanek Wojtyna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roman Matai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robertas Lewandowski in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to STAL ST WOLA getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Çağlar Soyuncu hit a great ball. Zygmunt Bielejewski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tanek Wojtyna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robertas Lewandowski in the 66th minute of play forced STAL ST WOLA's goalkeeper Roman Matai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tanek Wojtyna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artaç Hendekli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robertas Lewandowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Roman Matai made a huge save. Tanek Wojtyna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zygmunt Bielejewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 74 minutes of play, U21 Poland's Witold Bycofski made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Artaç Hendekli hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. STAL ST WOLA's Roman Matai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save STAL ST WOLA from getting a goal against them. Gustaw Bendyk kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. U21 Poland's Er Håland managed to work through STAL ST WOLA's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Er Håland dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. U21 Poland's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
