The referee ignored FC Bayern München's protests and gave Thomas Müller a yellow card for diving instead. After 12 played minutes FC Bayern München got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Müller. After 15 minutes of play FC Bayern München's Thomas Müller was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Venezuela booed when FC Bayern München was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Müller didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Bayern München's 김 옹 got a free kick in the 19th minute. Bernt Schou hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armin Lucchetta, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jon Bak went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armin Lucchetta in the 45th minute of play. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The Venezuela players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Bayern München were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jon Bak made a kick off. Armin Lucchetta might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armin Lucchetta ran back to his position shaking his head. Armin Lucchetta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armin Lucchetta in the 55th minute. When Camilo Gaos fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Camilo Gaos a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armin Lucchetta got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Correa during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Jon Bak was extremely unlucky when he, in the 67th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikhail Yakushev in the 81st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 84th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when 김 묵 came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 周松林 saved FC Bayern München from getting behind. The Venezuela supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Bayern München's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Bayern München.
