Dan Wennerqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Natalio Mazuste hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Lano came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Hernan Lano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soroca F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Hernan Lano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Monty Rogers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Dan Wennerqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute of the match USA got a corner. Soroca F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cassius Byrne ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hernan Lano in the 33rd minute. Dan Wennerqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 34th minute of play. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Venceslao in the 39th minute of the match. The supporters of Soroca F.C. booed when USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Mcdonald didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hernan Lano got free with Marco Day in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cassius Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute USA were awarded a corner. Cassius Byrne went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on USA's corner Jacob May fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dan Wennerqvist quite easily take care of the ball. Hernan Lano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Soroca F.C. made a substitution. Godofredo Quilino replaced Amador Venceslao. Dan Wennerqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 59th minute of play. Marco Day came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Soroca F.C.'s Răzvan Necula. But to his dismay, Răzvan Necula quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 64th minute, Godofredo Quilino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Răzvan Necula in the 66th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Cassius Byrne recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dan Wennerqvist. Cassius Byrne showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. USA made a substitution. Khalid Parry replaced Monty Rogers. Dan Wennerqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Khalid Parry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as USA's Marco Baker slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dan Wennerqvist. That made the score 1-3 after 90 minutes of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. USA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
