Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Darrell Overton started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Hoyt Herron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darrell Overton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lav Zivotinja were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dillon Huggins took the corner. The corner led Lav Zivotinja's Dillon Huggins to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diego Peter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Darrell Overton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 22nd minute of play forced Lav Zivotinja's goalkeeper Diego Peter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Lav Zivotinja's Paul Lereau got a free kick in the 25th minute. Patricio Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diego Peter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 31st minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Hoyt Herron sent off a good shot on target. Lav Zivotinja's Diego Peter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 36th minute of play. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dillon Huggins was slow to take the kick. During this time Lav Zivotinja's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Lav Zivotinja's Dillon Huggins to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Venezuela's Tomas Illescas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Diego Peter. That made the score 1-2 after 60 minutes of play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Lav Zivotinja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Lereau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Diego Peter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michel Anaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darrell Overton, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Herbert Lilly got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diego Peter made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hoyt Herron, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Venezuela eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
