The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tales Lucas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zoilo Coira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carter George, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. ReyPoxo's Zoilo Coira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rohan Watson in the 12th minute of play. Canada's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Koby Wright in the 13th minute. 16 minutes into the game, ReyPoxo's Tales Lucas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jax Williamson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Zoilo Coira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Mccarthy in the 20th minute of play. Regan Jordan made in the 28th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jan Dixon. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by ReyPoxo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Koby Wright was slow to take the kick. During this time Canada's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Rohan Watson heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 33 minutes into the match, ReyPoxo's goalkeeper Zoilo Coira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan Dixon. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
