The corner ended in Marcinho Mineiro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. Bruno Renan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Lautaro Mancebo sped through Florestal Futebol Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bruno Renan. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcinho Mineiro in the 30th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Alberto Tafalla made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Renan. Florestal Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 37 minutes of play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Renan was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. Bruno Renan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 51st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberto Tafalla kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bruno Renan. That made the score 0-4 in the 51 minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Marcinho Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcinho Mineiro in the 60th minute of play. In the 67th match minute, Florestal Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thierry Henry to maneuver through the defense. Sherif Cannavaro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dante Lacasa. Mexico's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bruno Renan made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matías Camargo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74thth minute of the game Matías Camargo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 76th minute of the match Florestal Futebol Clube got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sherif Cannavaro ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Sherif Cannavaro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. In the 92nd minute, Sherif Cannavaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santiago Cidro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. The Florestal Futebol Clube supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mexico's performance. The match ended with a win for Mexico.
