Ryan Giggs hit a great ball. In the 7th match minute, Champions Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ryan Giggs to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th match minute, El Gallo de Moron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Rico to maneuver through the defense. Broderick Ceney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Garrote, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18thth minute of the game Luisinho Laguna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Champions Iasi's Broderick Ceney was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ryan Giggs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 21 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Luisinho Laguna came free, but Broderick Ceney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisinho Laguna in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Broderick Ceney prevented the ball from getting in the gole. El Gallo de Moron's Nacho Gonzalez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorel Şteflea in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Aldo Rico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Romero in the 36th minute of play forced El Gallo de Moron's goalkeeper Nacho Gonzalez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Broderick Ceney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Garrote, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Nacho Gonzalez made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Jacinto Romero sent off a good shot on target. Broderick Ceney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Rodera in the 47th minute of the match.

In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Gallo de Moron's goalkeeper Nacho Gonzalez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Champions Iasi booed when El Gallo de Moron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Garrote didn't get a good kick on the ball.
