Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomé Reis in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Gilmar Castro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Castro in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Douglas de Souza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Floresta Club U18 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Paraguay were furious when Ivan Prats was red carded, 28 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Paraguay! In the 30th minute there was a penalty for Floresta Club U18. Douglas de Souza stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jacobo Nores. 0-3. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilmar Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Castro in the 40th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Floresta Club U18's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ruy da Rocha in the 42nd minute. A nice corner shot did that Ruy da Rocha got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jacobo Nores quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Paraguay players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Floresta Club U18 were winning 0-4.

The wind increased when Hector Covarrubias made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Floresta Club U18's Douglas de Souza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacobo Nores made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. 56 minutes into the game, Gilmar Castro threw the ball into play from the sideline. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Douglas de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Floresta Club U18's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas de Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Nores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Douglas de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano got a free kick in the 60th minute. Gilmar Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. Gilmar Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Hector Covarrubias hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Douglas de Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 70 minutes, Remo da Rocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Floresta Club U18 and the Paraguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Gilmar Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Castro in the 77th minute of play. With a little luck, Paraguay's Jacobo Nores got control of the ball when Douglas de Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Vito Maia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vito Maia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. In the 95th minute, Hector Covarrubias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Floresta Club U18's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
