Zero Hedge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Åke Jansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Åke Jansson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Åke Jansson might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Åke Jansson ran back to his position shaking his head. Åke Jansson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. 18 minutes into the match, Zero Hedge's Åke Jansson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Åke Jansson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Zero Hedge's attentive Alexander Johansson managed to snatch the ball when Guillermo Mariano made a throw-in in the 21st minute of the game. In the 22nd match minute, Zero Hedge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Nordström to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Åke Jansson in the 30th minute of play. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 38 minutes into the match, Åke Jansson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 41st minute of play forced Zero Hedge's goalkeeper Wiktor Wallander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Zero Hedge defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wiktor Wallander. The Zero Hedge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wiktor Wallander should have stopped the shot. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Zero Hedge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils Eliasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 65th minute, Gottfrid Stenman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zero Hedge fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Åke Jansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zero Hedge's supporters rose to their feet, but Åke Jansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åke Jansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. Hans Nordström took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Zero Hedge's Wiktor Wallander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Rickard Viberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Åke Jansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zero Hedge's supporters rose to their feet, but Åke Jansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Åke Jansson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. In the 95th minute, Bo-Erik Billberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zero Hedge were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
