Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Leandro Bartoli took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4thth minute of the game Felix Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Revolución Joao FC's Olavo Velloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Revolución Joao FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Bartoli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 7 minutes into the game, Felix Montes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Revolución Joao FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 7th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Cuero Ibañez came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 14th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. When Leandro Bartoli came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Revolución Joao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leandro Bartoli couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cuero Ibañez in the 47th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Olavo Velloso in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Olavo Velloso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cuero Ibañez, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Revolución Joao FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
