Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Leandro Bartoli took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4thth minute of the game Felix Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Revolución Joao FC's Olavo Velloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 5 minutes, Leandro Bartoli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Revolución Joao FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Bartoli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 7 minutes into the game, Felix Montes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Revolución Joao FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 7th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Cuero Ibañez came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 14th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Bartoli, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Revolución Joao FC's Olavo Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olavo Velloso having to make a save. 31 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leandro Bartoli. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. When Leandro Bartoli came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Revolución Joao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leandro Bartoli couldn't finish the play. When Revolución Joao FC's Leandro Bartoli in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cuero Ibañez in the 47th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olavo Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Aguinaga Casasola hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Olavo Velloso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 65thth minute of the game Cuero Ibañez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Bartoli in the 67th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Revolución Joao FC's goalkeeper Olavo Velloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. 74 minutes into the match, Revolución Joao FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Olavo Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Bartoli came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberto Spencer in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Olavo Velloso in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Olavo Velloso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cuero Ibañez, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Revolución Joao FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
