After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Rolando Lopez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Rolando Lopez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-0 in the 5 minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Pitin, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Laurendi in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 19th minute of play forced Club Atlético Temperley's goalkeeper Ioan Voicu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ioan Voicu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rolando Lopez took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Ioan Voicu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 minutes Club Atlético Temperley's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. Artemio Haritzeder thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Ioan Voicu, a very annoying self made goal in the 44th minute which led to 3-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Correia came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 68 minutes into the game, Marco Villerias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Temperley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Club Atlético Temperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Villerias didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rolando Lopez in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Laurendi in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 76th minute of play forced Club Atlético Temperley's goalkeeper Ioan Voicu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 77 minutes, Rolando Lopez made it 5-2 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Lopez in the 80th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 minutes of play, Club Atlético Temperley's Rolando Lopez made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Club Atlético Temperley's Ioan Voicu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Temperley from getting a goal against them. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Club Atlético Temperley were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
