The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ioan Voicu was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 7th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Club Atlético Temperley's Joel Pitin tried to score from far away in the 7th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ioan Voicu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of play. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Ioan Voicu. Club Atlético Temperley's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 24 minutes into the game, Rolando Lopez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Temperley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. A collision led to Club Atlético Temperley getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Rolando Lopez hit a great ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Correia in the 29th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ioan Voicu. Club Atlético Temperley's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ioan Voicu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, Lino Lizbeth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristiano Correia to strike the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Cristiano Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Temperley's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Correia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 54 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ioan Voicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute Cristiano Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustín Saelices could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Ioan Voicu made a huge save. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ioan Voicu firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Ioan Voicu however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Ioan Voicu in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Ioan Voicu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Marco Villerias hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The supporters of Club Atlético Temperley booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cristiano Correia came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Club Atlético Temperley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Correia couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Correia in the 82nd minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Correia in the 85th minute of play. After 89 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Ioan Voicu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After 92 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. Joel Pitin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Club Atlético Temperley's Ioan Voicu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Temperley from getting a goal against them. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Club Atlético Temperley.
