In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Hannan Hamdani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hannan Hamdani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hannan Hamdani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Family siempre's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Hannan Hamdani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Segundo Rencio got free with Julio Vera in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Family siempre's Juss Anderson got a free kick in the 27th minute. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hannan Hamdani was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Alfonso Vigil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 40th minute. Juss Anderson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Mario Elequemedo struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Family siempre. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Family siempre's Hannan Hamdani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Family siempre from getting a goal against them. Hannan Hamdani was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-1. 59 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Vigil came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute of the match Family siempre got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Juss Anderson ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Juss Anderson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. With a little luck, Family siempre's Hannan Hamdani got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Alfonso Vigil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. The supporters of Family siempre booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mario Elequemedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 95 minutes, Mario Elequemedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Family siempre and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mario Elequemedo hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Family siempre had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
