A nice corner shot did that Agustín Saelices got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ioan Voicu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Agustín Saelices took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ioan Voicu. Ioan Voicu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Pitin in the 10th minute of play. Club Atlético Temperley's Ioan Voicu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristiano Correia in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Club Atlético Temperley's Ioan Voicu got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ioan Voicu made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Correia in the 18th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ioan Voicu made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Club Atlético Temperley's Ioan Voicu got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Club Atlético Temperley's Ioan Voicu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Temperley from getting a goal against them. After 31 minutes Club Atlético Temperley's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Felix Montenegro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ioan Voicu quite easily take care of the ball. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 31st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ioan Voicu saved Club Atlético Temperley from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ioan Voicu. That made the score 3-0 in the 47 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristiano Correia to make the kick off. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ioan Voicu having to interfere. A hard shot 57 in the game by Cristiano Correia from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. Cristiano Correias short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ioan Voicu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Gaston Laurendi sent off a good shot on target. Gaston Laurendi scored 3-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marco Villerias's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Villerias helped the player get up and apologised. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Pitin, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Joel Pitin made a great header on Club Atlético Temperley's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 97th minute, Club Atlético Temperley's Joel Pitin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2.
