Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Luz Tejedor notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of LOI's George Buturugã. George Buturugã was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Peru's Alonso Berganza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bektaş Veli Ülgü, made in the 65th minute of the game. Mehmet Akif Cerme's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. George Buturugã took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Özgür Özbay in the 96th minute of the match. The LOI supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Peru's performance. The match ended with a win for Peru.
