In the 8thth minute of the game Alberto Tafalla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Exército Português's Petruț Dicu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The attack was good, but when Alberto Tafalla in the 11th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 19th minute, Bruno Soveral made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Petruț Dicu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 25th minute of the match. Alberto Tafalla succeeded in the game's 31st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. A collision led to Exército Português getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Ademar Borges hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Exército Português's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Petruț Dicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Petruț Dicu came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Exército Português's Petruț Dicu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 40th minute of play. After 46 played minutes Exército Português got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Carrasqueira.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 56 minutes of play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Petruț Dicu was left in no man's land by his defense there! 59 minutes into the game, Exército Português's Toro Lindø nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. With a little luck, Exército Português's Petruț Dicu got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute, Facundo Cadaval hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the match, Exército Português's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Petruț Dicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Petruț Dicu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 71st minute of the match. Exército Português's Nicolas Gois was substituted for Toro Lindø. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Exército Português's Petruț Dicu did a great save. 78 minutes into the match, Exército Português's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Petruț Dicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petruț Dicu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the match, Exército Português's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Petruț Dicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Soveral came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Bruno Soveral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno Soveral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. The Mexico players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
