Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Roberto Carlos hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xosepin Verdeja in the 53rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Harsh Gods's Valery Vuelta got a free kick in the 60th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Harsh Gods's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gersi Snabe came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the match, Harsh Gods's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Gersi Snabe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Renatas Eidukonis. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gersi Snabe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Lain came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Lain in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Tomas Lain sent off a good shot on target. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gersi Snabe quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
