Mitschullen SSA's Klement Naumowicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Mitschullen SSA from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Venezuela's Tomas Illescas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Klement Naumowicz. That made the score 2-0 after 20 minutes of play. In the 23rd minute, Beniamin Witek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Klement Naumowicz made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Wit Grabski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klement Naumowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Mitschullen SSA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Tomas Illescas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mitschullen SSA's Klement Naumowicz did a great save. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klement Naumowicz having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbyszko Dzierwa in the 41st minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zbyszko Dzierwa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 45th minute. Beniamin Witek kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Klement Naumowicz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 55th minute of play forced Mitschullen SSA's goalkeeper Klement Naumowicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dobromir Kaczorowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Mitschullen SSA defense, Patricio Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Klement Naumowicz. The Mitschullen SSA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Klement Naumowicz should have stopped the shot. In the 69th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klement Naumowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Klement Naumowicz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wit Grabski's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wit Grabski helped the player get up and apologised. Wit Grabski hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the match, Mitschullen SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Klement Naumowicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Jose Correa heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbyszko Dzierwa in the 92nd minute of play. Zbyszko Dzierwa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mitschullen SSA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
