Worst Arena Ever
Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Worst Team Ever getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. József Murai hit a great ball. Stor Klack's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lazaros Kotsiopoulos having to make a save. Worst Team Ever's Lazaros Kotsiopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 15th minute of play. Patricio Costa took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lazaros Kotsiopoulos. Lazaros Kotsiopoulos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 20thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Worst Team Ever's Lazaros Kotsiopoulos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute Isaias Eguerdi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Worst Team Ever's Isaias Eguerdi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-1 after 31 minutes of play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th match minute, Worst Team Ever was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by József Murai to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lazaros Kotsiopoulos was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. In the 41st minute, Isaias Eguerdi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stor Klack got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Eguerdi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Worst Team Ever's Lazaros Kotsiopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isaias Eguerdi to make the kick off. Worst Team Ever's Lazaros Kotsiopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. After 63 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. After 64 played minutes, Worst Team Ever's Bengt-Arne Sjöö shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Worst Team Ever reached it. Tomas Illescas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Lazaros Kotsiopoulos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 71 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Stor Klack came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stor Klack in the 71st minute of play. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stor Klack, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isaias Eguerdi during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lazaros Kotsiopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 94th minute of the match.
