In the 22nd minute, Kent Vidman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Stigsson in the 24th minute of play. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kent Vidman went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 30 minutes, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Noboa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kent Vidman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55thth minute of the game Kent Vidman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 65th minute, one of Costa Rica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Costa Rica. Kent Vidman took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. When Efrain Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Efrain Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. 73 minutes into the game, one of Costa Rica:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Benito Sanz, was totally fooled by Lost Boys Sports Academy's Rikard Månsson, who 74 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Esbjörn Åkesson hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After 81 minutes, Axel Tasis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Lost Boys Sports Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute, one of Costa Rica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Costa Rica. Benito Sanz had in the 83rdth minute some difficulties stopping Rikard Månsson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Vidman, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Thomas Stigsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kent Vidman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Lost Boys Sports Academy could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
