The supporters of ErbaA KartaLı booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Celil Ümran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 23rd minute Celil Ümran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 27 minutes, Jarbas Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ErbaA KartaLı's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarbas Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celil Ümran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. Efrain Moruga made in the 34th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Aaron Alcocer immediately put the ball in play. Jarbas Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ErbaA KartaLı's Ensar Açar quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Efrain Moruga, made in the 42nd minute of the game. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celil Ümran in the 43rd minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. After 58 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. Serter Doğay succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 61st playminute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. A sloppy throw-in by Efrain Moruga in the 70th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ErbaA KartaLı's Ensar Açar. In the 71st minute, Celil Ümran made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Celil Ümran tried to sneak it across the goal line. Celil Ümran scored 0-4 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. ErbaA KartaLı played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
