After having played for 24 minutes, Luca Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 25 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Songur Yoran was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthias Löfgren in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Arsenal FC were awarded a corner. Edvard Pihl went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Tadeusz Paciuszko got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dante Lacasa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 44th minute, Damaso Orlin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arsenal FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The Arsenal FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 1-2.

Songur Yoran made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. 73 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Matthias Löfgren came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mexico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
