The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Correa during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 4th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 5 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Soon. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Torsten Stålman having to make a save. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Watford FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Soon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torsten Stålman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Jonathan Soon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Torsten Stålman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 25th minute of play. When Wincent Milko came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Watford FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wincent Milko couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Stålman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Jonathan Soon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Wincent Milko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Watford FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wincent Milko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wincent Milko in the 39th minute of the match. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Watford FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stellan Klementsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wincent Milko had several of the Venezuela's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 43 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Jonathan Ferrant as he didn't even see the shot coming.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Watford FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wincent Milko might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wincent Milko ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Jonathan Soon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Soon, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After a rather tough play, Watford FC's Jonathan Soon got a free kick in the 66th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Soon in the 76th minute of play. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Wincent Milko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 86 minutes into the game, Watford FC's Jonathan Soon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Stellan Klementsson made in the 95th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Markus Salkvist immediately put the ball in play. Watford FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
