After a defensive mix-up in Paraguay's zone, Dag Asserlind stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal and Dag Asserlind tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Hyssna IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Vase didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hyssna IF's zone, Primitivo Escribano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cezary Mista came out of the goal and Primitivo Escribano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xavier Zoido hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cezary Mista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Hector Covarrubias hit a great ball. Hyssna IF's Cezary Mista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 28th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jaime Pardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cezary Mista was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Paraguay's attentive Juan Diego Tenorio managed to snatch the ball when Sven-Oskar Spets made a throw-in in the 39th minute of the game. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ivan Prats hit a great ball. In the 44th minute, Harry Vase sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Paraguay's Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move.

After having played for 55 minutes, Nils-Emil Lindgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hyssna IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils-Emil Lindgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paraguay's Jaime Pardo got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Håkan Samuelsson came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Hyssna IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Håkan Samuelsson couldn't finish the play. After 66 played minutes Hyssna IF got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Emil Lindgren. In the 67th minute of the match Primitivo Escribano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cezary Mista skillfully saved the ball. Harry Vase's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harry Vase helped the player get up and apologised. Harry Vase kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Hyssna IF's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Cezary Mista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Håkan Samuelsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. 81 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Håkan Samuelsson came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Hyssna IF getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Mikael Ahlkvist hit a great ball. After 90 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Raul Venegas. After 95 played minutes Hyssna IF got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Emil Lindgren.
