The wind increased when Edu Cardozo made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Victor Félix made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Patrik Kollberg's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain.
