Murathan İspirli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stein Hermansen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Süruri Dural, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Murathan İspirli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 22nd minute of play forced MaKaRa SPOR's goalkeeper Murathan İspirli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Murathan İspirli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After some careless play in the MaKaRa SPOR defense, Luca Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Murathan İspirli. The MaKaRa SPOR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Murathan İspirli should have stopped the shot. After 36 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Süruri Dural who took care of the corner kick. The corner led MaKaRa SPOR's Süruri Dural to fire away a dangerous shot which Dante Lacasa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Murathan İspirli. MaKaRa SPOR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bennvar Savage to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stein Hermansen in the 51st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 52 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Tafalla. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Murathan İspirli in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 56 minutes into the match, MaKaRa SPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Murathan İspirli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murathan İspirli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 59th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of MaKaRa SPOR's goalie and right to Luca Zorita. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. MaKaRa SPOR's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murathan İspirli having to interfere. Süruri Dural hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. MaKaRa SPOR's Murathan İspirli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save MaKaRa SPOR from getting a goal against them. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Süruri Dural in the 67th minute of play. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, MaKaRa SPOR's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. MaKaRa SPOR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. The supporters of Mexico booed when MaKaRa SPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elazar Martinich didn't get a good kick on the ball. The MaKaRa SPOR supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mexico's performance. The match ended with a win for Mexico.
