In the 6th match minute, River CBBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matías Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Marcelo Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in USA's zone, Juan Funes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Day came out of the goal and Juan Funes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcelo Barovero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 25th minute of play. Monty Rogers scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Barovero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Funes in the 41st minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Varis Birgelis in the 43rd minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cassius Byrne to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, River CBBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arano Abendano to maneuver through the defense. Arano Abendano kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Marcelo Barovero made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. Juan Funes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute Ponciano Abarca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, USA's Monty Rogers dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. River CBBA's Endura Abechuco was substituted for Argoitz Abeijon. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. In the 92nd minute Ponciano Abarca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Khalid Parry recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcelo Barovero. Khalid Parry showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3.
