Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateo Palacio in the 30th minute of play. Mateo Palacio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Mateo Palacio struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zjem Cię. Mateo Palacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, Alex Chicote was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Zjem Cię fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5.

Zjem Cię made a substitution. Ciriaco Emenon replaced Tolek Wojtyna. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mateo Palacio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zjem Cię's attentive Murillo Cedeno managed to snatch the ball when Guillermo Mariano made a throw-in in the 68th minute of the game. Zjem Cię's Murillo Cedeno managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guillermo Mariano in the 70 minute of the game. When Olgierd Cempa fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zjem Cię's protests and gave Olgierd Cempa a yellow card for diving instead. When the match was over Zjem Cię could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Venezuela throughout the match.
