Antonio Fioriti really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 23 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Mac Aron came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Seve Sevilla. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. When Mac Aron fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Burgas's protests and gave Mac Aron a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Sporting Burgas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mac Aron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 39 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Álvaro Perpiñán right hand side. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Antonio Fioriti sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antonio Fioriti to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sporting Burgas:s goal. The excitement rose when Sporting Burgas's Seve Sevilla after 53 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Venezuela's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 3-0. In the 58th minute Sporting Burgas were awarded a corner. Seve Sevilla went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 66th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Javier Carmona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Álvaro Perpiñán read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Álvaro Perpiñán. Sporting Burgas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Álvaro Perpiñán was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Sporting Burgas booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Sporting Burgas's Damian Udrescu got a free kick in the 97th minute. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
