Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 2 minutes, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Tasis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 8 minutes, Van Lentz made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 10th minute. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Van Lentz scored 1-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Van Lentz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ingvar Söderlund hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After 24 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Van Lentz in the 29th minute of play. 29 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Riala Goif's Van Lentz fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Axel Tasis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Tom Bur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Van Lentz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Van Lentz in the 39th minute of play. In the 41stth minute of the game Van Lentz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, André Lameirinhas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and André Lameirinhas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Alcocer during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th minute, Aaron Alcocer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

In the 52nd minute, Jesper Biörkman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 1-3. Eliseo Noboa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tom Bur having to make a save. In the 57th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. Tebogo Mandla hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd match minute, Riala Goif was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingvar Söderlund to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Van Lentz in the 66th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alan Moruga charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Moruga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. The supporters of Riala Goif booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Bur having to interfere. After 72 minutes, Lautaro Puig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Riala Goif players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Van Lentz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Van Lentz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Lautaro Puig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesper Biörkman in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Riala Goif left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Costa Rica.
