Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 8 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre City's goalkeeper Ariel Ponc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. In the 9th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Cristian Sancho sped through Villa Mitre City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ariel Ponc. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ariel Ponc, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ariel Ponc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Ariel Ponc threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Andino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ariel Ponc made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Ariel Ponc skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliciano Fernendo in the 35th minute of play. After 37 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Urbano Mendiko who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Villa Mitre City's corner Urbano Mendiko fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Ariel Ponc made a huge save. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Feliciano Fernendo's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. With a little luck, Villa Mitre City's Ariel Ponc got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Villa Mitre City made a substitution. Mauricio Macías replaced Arsenio Maria. Villa Mitre City's Imam Sarwono was substituted for Saturnino Lehior. After 54 minutes, Generoso Laurgain mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villa Mitre City and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ariel Ponc saved Villa Mitre City from getting behind. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Cristian Sancho sped through Villa Mitre City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ariel Ponc. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauricio Macías in the 61st minute. Ariel Ponc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 66th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Villa Mitre City's Mauricio Macías ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. 78 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Macías came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre City's Mauricio Macías sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mauricio Macías's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauricio Macías got free with Julio Vera in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Mauricio Macías took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ecuador's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Mauricio Macías 98 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-3. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
