An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio García in the 14th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Antonio García was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baby Barza's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. In the 19th match minute, Baby Barza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio García to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaldo Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heraclides García in the 27th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Abraham Alguacil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reinaldo Mota was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Baby Barza's zone, Abraham Alguacil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reinaldo Mota came out of the goal and Abraham Alguacil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Heraclides García struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Marcos Cotilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baby Barza. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Berganza was the one to do the kick off. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Baby Barza's Arxel Izquierdo. But to his dismay, Arxel Izquierdo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Mota having to interfere. Baby Barza's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Tomas Berganza scored to the left of an out of position Reinaldo Mota, making the score, 2-1. Panama were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Baby Barza to leave the ground with a draw.
