SA Samsunspor 2011's Alex Remiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 6th minute of play. Alex Remiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, SA Samsunspor 2011's goalkeeper Alex Remiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Alex Remiro in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Telo in the 15th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernaldo Silva in the 18th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Lautaro Mancebo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 24th match minute, SA Samsunspor 2011 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernaldo Silva to maneuver through the defense. Joel Gaona was extremely unlucky when he, in the 25th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Necdet Tamerkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ariel Telo in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 46 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, SA Samsunspor 2011's Ian Borromeo got a free kick in the 48th minute. Alex Remiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half SA Samsunspor 2011 were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ariel Telo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Alex Remiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The SA Samsunspor 2011 fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when SA Samsunspor 2011's Ian Borromeo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 71st minute, Bernaldo Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 75 minutes of play, SA Samsunspor 2011's Ian Borromeo made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ferman Deveci was slow to take the kick. During this time SA Samsunspor 2011's players had a chance to rest. SA Samsunspor 2011's Ferman Deveci was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dante Lacasa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 93rd minute Facundo Cadaval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Remiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Çelikan Lütfi kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Mexico's Joel Gaona tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
