The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Montenegro in the 5th minute. After a defensive mix-up in KANONIERZY's zone, Axel Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Abbiati came out of the goal and Axel Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christian Abbiati showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 17th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, KANONIERZY's goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but Christian Abbiati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Abbiati made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 24th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ime Mavros in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 26th minute of play forced KANONIERZY's goalkeeper Christian Abbiati to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KANONIERZY's Christian Abbiati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 32nd minute of play. Abram Sarmiento scored 1-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christian Abbiati, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christian Abbiati. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Christian Abbiati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christian Abbiati showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 38th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santino Seco to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind KANONIERZY's goalkeeper Christian Abbiati, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Axel Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Christian Abbiati didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Axel Montenegro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Christian Abbiati. The goal made the score 1-2. A sloppy throw-in by Gösta Söderberg in the 57th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Pascual Carballar. Christian Abbiati was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ignacio Mastache showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 79 minute of play. Ime Mavros took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Söderberg in the 89th minute of the match. Gösta Söderberg scored 3-3 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 94th minute, Gösta Söderberg made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
