An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillermo Emesto in the 8th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Real Academia Serengetti's Alfonso Polo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 11th minute of play. Rodrigo Abeijon's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodrigo Abeijon helped the player get up and apologised. Rodrigo Abeijon hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 15th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Espiga to maneuver through the defense. 1-0 became the score in the 19th minute when Edmundo Espiga elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Guillermo Emesto fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Academia Serengetti's protests and gave Guillermo Emesto a yellow card for diving instead. Guillermo Emesto hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Real Academia Serengetti getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Silvano Grabiel hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 25th minute of play forced Real Academia Serengetti's goalkeeper Alfonso Polo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Milagros Cabal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alfonso Polo. Real Academia Serengetti's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Celso Vimaro threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Christian Sancho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Americo Ferrer in the 44th minute of play. Alfonso Polo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 46th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Guillermo Emesto made the kick off in the second half. Alfonso Polo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 3-0 became the score in the 69th minute when Christian Sancho elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Americo Ferrer sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Guillermo Emesto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. 76 minutes into the match, Sebastian Villa notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Real Academia Serengetti's Alfonso Polo. Alfonso Polo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 93 minutes of play, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfonso Polo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Honduras's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
