Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximus Ayuso in the 11th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Qian Jun Bo in the 14th minute of play. After 16 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Felix Sol, made in the 19th minute of the game. Qian Jun Bo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Tomas Illescas put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Edelmiro Cresconio. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Cresconio having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Maximus Ayuso managed to get in a good position for a shot. ELPORVE's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximus Ayuso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edelmiro Cresconio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bjorn van Baarle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. ELPORVE's Edelmiro Cresconio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 37th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Epifanio Lauro went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 44th minute Bjorn van Baarle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Qian Jun Bo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind ELPORVE's goalkeeper Edelmiro Cresconio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 66th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Hernan Felipillo took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Qian Jun Bo, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Edelmiro Cresconio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Illescas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Edelmiro Cresconio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 96th minute ELPORVE were awarded a corner. Hernan Felipillo went to the cornerflag to take it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ELPORVE fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
