Geraldo Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. In the 31st minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Axel Montenegro went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Pascual Carballar almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Builder Sofia's Stamen Kapitanov did a great save. After 31 played minutes Pascual Carballar rounded FC Builder Sofia's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Stamen Kapitanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 34th minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Axel Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, FC Builder Sofia's Stamen Kapitanov got control of the ball when Axel Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. Stamen Kapitanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Kevin Mastache recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sten Askestät, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Builder Sofia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
