Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kobe Bryant to make the kick off. In the 50th minute Antonio Arias suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 50 minutes, Kobe Bryant mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ona Somrient FC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, Ona Somrient FC's Claude Erosa got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 65th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nechifor Hârșu during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
