Aaron Alcocer charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Peder Finman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lokomotiv Julita's supporters rose to their feet, but Peder Finman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute, one of Lokomotiv Julita:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lokomotiv Julita. An unexpectedly hard shot by Birger Kjellkvist in the 23rd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lokomotiv Julita's Peder Finman got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birger Kjellkvist in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of Lokomotiv Julita booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute, Peder Finman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Birger Kjellkvist made the kick off in the second half. Birger Kjellkvist who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 54th minute of play forced Lokomotiv Julita's goalkeeper Maximilian Nordin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Peder Finman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 56 minute of play. Jerry Gustavsson kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After 63 minutes of play Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Benito Sanz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 65th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tommy Sundström. The supporters of Lokomotiv Julita booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Birger Kjellkvist in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Birger Kjellkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
