After 12 played minutes Lokomotiv Julita got a freekick which was hit by Andréas Biörkquist. In the 15th minute, Birger Kjellkvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Lokomotiv Julita's zone, Jaime Pardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximilian Nordin came out of the goal and Jaime Pardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Alf Vinström fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lokomotiv Julita's protests and gave Alf Vinström a yellow card for diving instead. Alf Vinström hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Jaime Pardo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Maximilian Nordin. The goal made the score 1-1. Paraguay's Xavier Zoido managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tommy Sundström in the 38 minute of the game. Maximilian Nordin made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Jaime Pardo sent off a good shot on target. Paraguay's Alan Campos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jerry Gustavsson in the 44 minute of the game. Birger Kjellkvist's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Birger Kjellkvist helped the player get up and apologised. After 47 played minutes Lokomotiv Julita got a freekick which was hit by Birger Kjellkvist. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 66th minute Birger Kjellkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lokomotiv Julita's Nils-Åke Västlund got a free kick in the 67th minute. Jaime Pardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximilian Nordin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match Iker Tafalla shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maximilian Nordin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Paraguay's Jacobo Nores got control of the ball when Birger Kjellkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Birger Kjellkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. Chants of Lokomotiv Julita echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Paraguay had held the ball for most of the match.
