In the 6th minute, one of Athletico Picapedrense:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Athletico Picapedrense. Athletico Picapedrense:s Jesus Sayveon showed great skill when he stopped Axel Montenegro:s penalty. In the 9th minute, Axel Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jesus Sayveon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 12th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesus Sayveon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jesus Sayveon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute of the match, Cristo Uria got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pedro Manzanares was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ivón Nafría kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Zenon Klewinski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 25th minute of play forced Athletico Picapedrense's goalkeeper Jesus Sayveon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Geoffrey Dutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute of the match, Reno Cartagena got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pedro Manzanares was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After having played for 40 minutes, Zenon Klewinski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Athletico Picapedrense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zenon Klewinski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pascual Carballar kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Cristo Uria took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orlondo Aguado made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Montenegro in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jesus Sayveon saved Athletico Picapedrense from getting behind. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Jesus Sayveon made a huge save. 58 minutes into the match, Athletico Picapedrense's Reno Cartagena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Athletico Picapedrense's Jesus Sayveon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Athletico Picapedrense from getting a goal against them. Reno Cartagena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlondo Aguado, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Athletico Picapedrense's zone, Axel Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesus Sayveon came out of the goal and Axel Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlondo Aguado in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlondo Aguado in the 77th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Athletico Picapedrense's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Mastache came free, but Jesus Sayveon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, Athletico Picapedrense's Orlondo Aguado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlondo Aguado, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Orlondo Aguado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Orlondo Aguado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. 92 minutes into the match, Athletico Picapedrense's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Secada came free, but Jesus Sayveon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Athletico Picapedrense's Horaţiu Crăiță got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Athletico Picapedrense's goalkeeper Jesus Sayveon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Athletico Picapedrense's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
