In the 14th minute of the match Ya Perdimos F.C. got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Reinaldo Gancedo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Charro Dieguez got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 2-0. 14 minutes into the match. Ya Perdimos F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Reinaldo Gancedo in the 23rd minute. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Charro Dieguez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Charro Dieguez in the 26th minute. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Charro Dieguez's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Ya Perdimos F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charro Dieguez, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Charro Dieguez came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charro Dieguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Ya Perdimos F.C. players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
