Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 6 minutes into the match, Robert Bergman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robert Bergman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 10th minute of play forced Mosjö Sportklubb's goalkeeper Lei Zhen De to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Mosjö Sportklubb defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lei Zhen De. The Mosjö Sportklubb fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lei Zhen De should have stopped the shot. Lei Zhen De made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Konstantinos Voutsas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Mina struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Lei Zhen De didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. After 20 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lei Zhen De was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lei Zhen De showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute Robert Bergman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 31st minute. The corner led to Peru's Julian Murillo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. After 34th play minutes Ludomil Topolski shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Rolando Noboa and just under the crossbar into goal. In the last second Rolando Noboa throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ludomil Topolski in the 37thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Robert Bergman sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dalton Bennett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

51 minutes into the match, Mosjö Sportklubb's goalkeeper Lei Zhen De had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ludomil Topolski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Bergman in the 58th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliseo Mina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lei Zhen De read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Mosjö Sportklubb's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mosjö Sportklubb made a substitution. Arnold Mühren replaced Robert Bergman. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Moises Gayoso hit a great ball. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludomil Topolski in the 73rd minute of the match. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnold Mühren in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to Mosjö Sportklubb getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Isandro Garate hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Ludomil Topolski came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ola Martinsson kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. In the 88th minute, Ola Martinsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Antonio Tenorio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
