Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Jorge Cachorro made the kick off and thus started the match. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Eyague having to interfere. In the 5th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Eyague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Vicente Eyague tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 11 minutes, Jorge Cachorro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tigre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Cachorro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Mister Perfecto came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tigre's Vicente Eyague played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 14th minute of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Tigre's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Felix Montenegro was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonel Iratzeder's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Iratzeder helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Tigre got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Iratzeder. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Vicente Eyague tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Karel Van Engelen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Luis Andino advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-1 in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mister Perfecto in the 33rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vicente Eyague showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Cachorro in the 45th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vicente Eyague, 1-2. In the 56th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felix Montenegro charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Montenegro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Vicente Eyague made a huge save. Tigre's Vicente Eyague proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Tigre from getting a goal against them. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Felix Montenegro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 67th match minute, Tigre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Belarmo to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Eyague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tigre's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vicente Eyague in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Horacio Belarmo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Tigre's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Vicente Eyague reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Tigre's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nathan de Haan, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Vicente Eyague made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Tigre's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Tigre's goalie and right to Felix Montenegro. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Tigre's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
