Vykans Vikingar's Fernan Berart quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 16 minutes into the match, A.D. Alcorcón's goal looked a bit too open when Mats Hermansson came free, but Maurino Serena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Martin Mutumba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maurino Serena was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save A.D. In the 36th minute, Bengt-Arne Haglund fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Vykans Vikingar's Andreas Lindqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manolo Bacete in the 39th minute of play. When Natxo Cacheres fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.D. Alcorcón's protests and gave Natxo Cacheres a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Vykans Vikingar booed when A.D. Alcorcón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natxo Cacheres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bengt-Arne Haglund made a kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Arcadio Ramiréz in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Vykans Vikingar's Börje Stål. Maurino Serena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt-Arne Haglund, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Alcorcón's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
