The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Fotbal Club Vaslui's Traian Traian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lino Mazza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 9th minute Traian Traian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute Fotbal Club Vaslui were awarded a corner. Javier Montes went to the cornerflag to take it. Genaro Montez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charalambos Vokolos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Genaro Montez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charalambos Vokolos in the 16th minute of play. In the 20th minute Albertinho Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Montez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Fotbal Club Vaslui's Traian Traian ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lino Mazza. Lino Mazza yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Genaro Montez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertinho Alagoano in the 29th minute of play. -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Eusebiu Tunar managed to work through Fotbal Club Vaslui's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Eusebiu Tunar dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Lino Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Traian in the 39th minute of play. Genaro Montez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertinho Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Fotbal Club Vaslui's Genaro Montez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebiu Tunar in the 44th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Fotbal Club Vaslui's Toader Muncelean got a free kick in the 44th minute. Flavio Valines kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Genaro Montez didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Albertinho Alagoano shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-3 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 69th minute Charalambos Vokolos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Montez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Charalambos Vokolos got free with Genaro Montez in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Albertinho Alagoano had several of the Fotbal Club Vaslui's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 72 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-4 score and a disappointed Genaro Montez as he didn't even see the shot coming. Genaro Montez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebiu Tunar, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Fotbal Club Vaslui's Genaro Montez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Valines in the 76th minute of play. Fotbal Club Vaslui's Genaro Montez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Fotbal Club Vaslui from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd minute Eusebiu Tunar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Montez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusebiu Tunar might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Genaro Montez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eusebiu Tunar ran back to his position shaking his head. The -BZF- Petrolul Berca players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
